PayGo: Virtual POS
The DSI-owned digital acceptance brand: QR and code payments on any channel, anywhere.
A virtual POS in every pocket
PayGo is a payment acceptance channel that lets any merchant receive payment through a scanned QR code or a short merchant code: a “virtual POS”. In the same way a physical terminal presents a payment request authenticated by card and PIN, PayGo presents a static or dynamic PayGoID that the customer approves in their own bank’s mobile channel. PayGo is a DSI Group product and registered trademark: an open framework any institution can adopt, on any national switch or scheme.
Static codes identify a merchant; dynamic codes embed amount, currency and narration for one-tap approval at high-volume tills, eCommerce and bill presentment.
Built on the EMVCo QRCPS (Merchant Presented) specification, enhanced for domestic market realities.
Customers pay from their existing bank app, USSD shortcode, WhatsApp or web checkout, no new app required.
From till-integrated supermarket lanes to a market stall with a printed code, plus plugins for Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Wix and open APIs for custom builds.
Three steps, bank-grade underneath
No vendor lock-in. Everyone participates.
Banks keep full control of merchant relationships and commercials; existing AML, fraud and CFT systems continue to monitor every transaction.
Merchant Service Providers extend the framework: aggregating merchants, enabling eCommerce and scaling acceptance without new hardware.
Every payment carries a high-entropy UUID reference across all systems, with standard summary and detail recon reports for every participant.
Step-up authentication, device-bound credentials, biometrics and geolocation-aware risk profiling.
A registered identity, ready to travel
The PayGo name and logo are registered trademarks of the DSI Group (logo registration 231 of 2019). The identity follows the PayGo brand guide: purple logo on white, white logo on purple, with Sunrise and Blue as accent colours only.
